Why Pagoda?
In 1972 after the Munich disaster, a response was needed to tackle terrorism. No unit in the world had such a force. The UK was the first country to form such a response and was such, the birth of special warfare as we know it today. This was called Pagoda. The Pagoda team then went on to train and form many of the well-known global specialist units still around today.
We are a veteran-owned watch company with its roots in Hereford, England. The founder spent 31 years serving in the British military, most of that time at the very tip of the spear.
Many military units have watches custom-made for them by well-known brands. Very few of these had a founder who had served extensively in the military.
We realised that, if we created watches as good as these, then we could also offer something unique, which the military holds in highest regard: authenticity.
By supplying high-quality watches to the military and veteran community, we’re proud to have laid the foundations for a great watch company.

The best watches in the world are Swiss made. We’ve made no compromise in appointing the finest manufacturer in Switzerland to build our watches, following extensive research and development that included creating and testing many prototypes.
Our appointed watchmaker has a history of building high quality timepieces going back nearly 80 years, and we’ve worked closely together to design our range of Tactical watches from the ground up.
The outcome is a range of watches that are robust enough to take the rigours of combat, accurate and reliable at all times, and which look great on the wrist.

Pagoda’s formation has been driven by the energy and vision of its founding team. It began when our founder joined forces with an old comrade from the US Military, where they had worked together on operations. His experience in the US Military mirrored that of our founder’s career in the UK and their bond was very strong. Then came a fighter pilot who had served for 20 years and an Apache helicopter pilot. From here the team has grown, with further individuals handpicked to complete the range of skills, experience and qualities required to achieve our shared mission: to build outstanding watches.

We decided that we were going to find the absolute finest manufacturer in Switzerland to build our watches.
After an extensive research and development phase, including the building of many prototypes, we signed a contract to produce watches with one of Switzerland’s premier watch makers. They have a history of making high quality timepieces going back nearly 80 years. We began to design a range of Tactical watches from the ground up. Every aspect of our watches has been carefully thought through to produce watches that are robust enough to take the rigours of combat, accurate and reliable at all times, and that look great on the wrist.
